The Cordless DUALphone allows you to easily choose to
make a call using Skype or your existing landline from anywhere in
your home. It comes complete with step-by-step installation
instructions, has approximately 300 meter range and uses the latest
DECT technology to allow crystal clear calls.
The Cordless DUALphone is a cordless telephone that can be connected
to a normal telephone socket and a USB port on a PC. The LCD display
shows your Skype friends/buddies who are online. The phone comes
complete with two green "telephone" buttons for making calls. The
green "PC" button is used to make Skype and Skypeout calls. The
other green button is used for making calls via your existing
telephone line.
To call a Skype friend simply press the appropriate PC green button
and talk to them for free – no matter where they are in the world.
If their PC is switched off, or you want to call someone who doesn’t
use Skype, you simply press the other green button and call via the
standard telephone connection.
With the Cordless DUALphone you get both an internet and normal
telephone in one and the same product, which means you get an extra
hands-free telephone line at home. You can dial and receive normal
telephone calls or calls over the Internet. And naturally, there are
no more sockets and wires to worry about.
There’s no need to sit in front of your PC anymore to make free
calls over the Internet. With the Cordless DUALphone you can roam
within a radius of up to 300 metres from the base station. This
means, for example, that you can be in the garden, or at a
neighbour’s house and still receive calls.
You can also purchase up to 4 additional handsets to use with the DualPhone base station meaning both landline and internet calls will
ring throughout the house.
